Creating the perfect Watermelon Bliss Sorbet begins with understanding the sweetness of your watermelon. Watermelons can vary significantly in sweetness due to factors like ripeness and variety. To adjust the sweetness of your sorbet, taste your watermelon before blending. If you find it lacking in sweetness, consider adding a touch of natural sweeteners. Honey, agave syrup, or maple syrup can enhance the flavor without overpowering the natural taste of the fruit. Start with one tablespoon, blend, and taste again. Ingredients

4 cups seedless watermelon, cut into 1-inch cubes

1 cup chilled coconut cream

1/4 cup freshly squeezed lime juice

1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Prep the Watermelon: Begin by cutting the watermelon into 1-inch cubes. Spread the cubes in a single layer on a baking sheet and place them in the freezer for approximately 2 hours, or until completely frozen solid.

Blend Ingredients: After the watermelon has frozen, transfer the cubes into a high-speed blender or a food processor. Add in the chilled coconut cream, freshly squeezed lime juice, honey or agave syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.

Blend to Perfection: Pulse the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. You may need to pause halfway to scrape down the sides of the blender to ensure even blending. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or agave syrup.

Chill the Mixture: Pour the blended mixture into a shallow, airtight container. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for about 30 minutes to allow it to firm up just a bit.

Churn for Creaminess (Optional): For a creamier sorbet, you can churn the mixture in an ice cream maker for approximately 20 minutes. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, simply take the container out of the freezer every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours, and stir rigorously with a fork to incorporate air until you reach your desired consistency.

Final Freeze: Once the sorbet has achieved your preferred creaminess, return it to the freezer and allow it to freeze for at least an additional 2 hours until it is fully firm.

Serve: Scoop generous portions of the watermelon sorbet into bowls or cones. For an added touch, garnish each serving with a few fresh mint leaves.

Enjoy: Relish in your delightful Watermelon Bliss Sorbet, perfect for cooling off on a warm day or impressing guests with a unique dessert!
