Ingredients

1 lb (450g) chicken breast, cut into strips

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preparation: Begin by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). While the air fryer is heating, set up a breading station using three shallow dishes to make the coating process efficient.

Dredging: In the first dish, combine the all-purpose flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until evenly incorporated. In the second dish, whisk the eggs until fully blended. In the third dish, mix together the panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor and crunch.

Coating the Chicken: Take a chicken strip and first dip it into the seasoned flour, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Gently shake off any excess flour. Next, dip the strip into the beaten eggs, allowing any extra to drip back into the dish. Finally, press the chicken strip into the panko-Parmesan mixture, making sure it adheres well and is fully coated. Repeat this process for all chicken strips.

Preparing for Air Frying: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not overlap. If you have a lot of tenders, consider air frying them in batches to maintain optimal crispiness.

Air Frying: Once arranged, spray the tops of the chicken tenders with a light mist of cooking spray. Air fry for approximately 10-12 minutes, flipping the tenders halfway through the cooking time. They should turn a beautiful golden brown and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) when fully cooked.

Serving: After cooking, carefully remove the chicken tenders from the air fryer and allow them to rest for a couple of minutes to enhance their juiciness. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve alongside your favorite dipping sauces, such as honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ sauce, for a delightful complement.

              Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

Optional Presentation Tips: Display the chicken tenders on a large platter, drizzling a bit of your favorite dipping sauce artfully over the top, and scatter some parsley for a vibrant final touch. Serve with a side of crispy vegetable sticks for added crunch!
