Ingredients

1 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 cup fresh figs, diced (if fresh figs are unavailable, substitute with dried figs that have been soaked in warm water for 30 minutes)

2 tablespoons honey (adjust according to your desired sweetness)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

A pinch of sea salt

Optional: crushed nuts (such as walnuts or pistachios) for garnish

Instructions

Prepare the Figs:

    - If using fresh figs, rinse them under cool water, then carefully dice them into small, bite-sized pieces.

      - If opting for dried figs, first soak them in warm water for 30 minutes until plump, then thoroughly drain and chop into smaller pieces.

        Make the Yogurt Mixture:

          - In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of sea salt.

            - Whisk the mixture until it achieves a smooth consistency and the honey is fully integrated.

              Fold in the Figs:

                - Gently fold the diced fresh or soaked dried figs into the yogurt mixture using a spatula. Be careful to mix without breaking the figs too much, ensuring even distribution.

                  Prepare the Molds:

                    - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or utilize silicone molds for easier removal later.

                      - If desired, sprinkle crushed nuts over the bottom of the molds or on the parchment-lined baking sheet for added texture.

                        Fill the Molds:

                          - With a spoon or spatula, scoop the yogurt and fig mixture into the molds or create small, round discs on the lined baking sheet, smoothing the tops as you go.

                            Freeze:

                              - Carefully place the filled molds or baking sheet in the freezer. Allow to freeze for a minimum of 4 hours, or until the bites are completely solid throughout.

                                Serve:

                                  - Once frozen, gently remove the yogurt bites from the molds or peel them off the parchment paper.

                                    - Let them sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes to soften slightly for easier handling.

                                      Enjoy Your Treat:

                                        - Serve the bites immediately as a refreshing snack or dessert. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for a delicious cool treat anytime!
