Ingredients

1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

1 cup cooked chicken, shredded (using rotisserie chicken is a great option)

1 cup marinara sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything thoroughly until well incorporated, and set aside for filling.

Shape the Biscuit Bombs: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate it into individual biscuits. Take each biscuit and flatten it slightly in your palm or on a clean surface, giving it a larger surface area for the filling.

Fill the Biscuits: Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of the chicken mixture into the center of each flattened biscuit. Gently fold the edges of the biscuit over the filling, pinching them tightly to seal and form a smooth ball. Ensure that the filling is completely enclosed to avoid leakage during baking.

Prepare for Baking: Place each filled biscuit bomb seam-side down onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a pastry brush to generously apply the beaten egg on the tops of the biscuit bombs, which will create a beautiful golden brown finish during baking.

Bake: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the biscuit bombs for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they turn a lovely golden brown and puff up nicely.

Serve: Once baked, remove the biscuit bombs from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Serve them warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired, alongside extra marinara sauce for dipping.
